Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how CMC Media, doing business as BDC Mastery (“BDC Mastery,” “we,” “us”), collects, uses and shares information when you visit bdcmastery.com (the “Site”) or use our training course and related services (the “Services”). By using the Services you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: your name, email address, company name, job role and password. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are never visible to us in readable form. You may also upload a profile photo.
- Course activity: which modules you view or complete, your workbook answers and scores, points you earn, and any call-activity entries you log (such as the date, outcome and revenue amount).
- Messages to us: anything you send when you contact us for support.
- Access information: the access plan and dates tied to your account. We do not collect payment card information through the Site.
Information collected automatically
- Technical data: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the page that referred you, and the date and time of each visit. This is collected by our hosting and analytics providers.
- Analytics: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which measures page views and performance without using cookies.
- Browser storage: the Site uses your browser’s local storage, not cookies, to keep you signed in and to remember settings such as whether you have seen the welcome screen. The call-sheet and revenue-tracker tools save their entries on your own device.
- Fonts and code libraries: our pages load fonts from Google Fonts and code from the jsDelivr network. Those providers receive your IP address and browser details when a page loads.
2. How we use information
- To create and run your account and give you access to the course.
- To send account emails such as invitations, activation notices and password resets.
- To track and show your progress, scores and activity.
- To answer your questions and provide support.
- To keep the Services secure and to prevent misuse.
- To understand how the Site is used and to improve it.
- To meet legal obligations.
3. Cookies and advertising
The Site does not use cookies to keep you signed in, and it does not currently use advertising cookies or similar tracking tools. If we add them later, such as the Meta Pixel for measuring ads and showing our ads to people who have visited the Site, we will ask for your permission first, we will not load them unless you accept, and we will give you a way to change your choice at any time. We will not use them on the signed-in course area or the administration pages, and we will update this policy before we begin.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as described here:
- Service providers that help us run the Services and may use your information only to do so for us: Cloudflare (hosting, security and analytics), Supabase (database, sign-in and file storage), Google (email delivery and fonts), and jsDelivr (code delivery).
- Your company and our administrators. Our administrators, and your company’s account administrators where applicable, can see your account details, progress and activity.
- Legal and safety reasons, such as responding to a lawful request, enforcing our terms, or protecting people and property.
- A business transfer, such as a merger or sale of our business, in which case the information would continue to be protected by this policy.
Profile photos. Photos you upload are stored in a location that can be opened by anyone who has the photo’s web address. Please do not upload a photo you would not want to be viewable that way.
5. How long we keep information
We keep account and course information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see section 7); we may keep some information where the law requires it or where it is needed to resolve a dispute.
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your choices and rights
- Access, correct or delete. You can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it.
- Emails. You can stop non-essential emails using the unsubscribe link. We will still send account and security messages.
Residents of California and some other states have additional rights, including the right to know, delete and correct personal information and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We will not treat you differently for using these rights. To make a request, contact us at info@cmcmedia.com. We may need to verify your identity first.
8. Children
The Services are for business use by adults. They are not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
9. Where we operate
The Services are operated in the United States and are intended for users in the United States. If you use them from elsewhere, your information will be processed in the United States.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the “Last updated” date above and, for significant changes, tell you by email or on the Site.
